The 2025 Legislative Session began on January 14th and was scheduled to end by May 19th. The legislature needed to pass a two-year budget during the session in order to keep state government functioning. Although capital bonding bills are typically passed during the event-numbered sessions, there was no agreement on a bonding bill during the 2024 session.
After a one-day special session on June 9th, the Legislature passed a two-year budget and a capital bonding bill. The Minnesota Transportation Alliance worked hard to maintain the funding gains from 2023. Visit our Legislative Action page for more information.
