The Minnesota Legislature wrapped up its work for the 2025 Session on June 9th with a one-day special session. The Transportation Budget bill was among the bills needing to be passed. The bill includes a number of Transportation Alliance priorities:
- Electric Vehicle Fee increases
- A requirement for work zone safety training in the driver's ed curriculum and test
- Maintenance of new funding from delivery fee, indexing the fuel tax and other funding increases
- Cash for Local Road Wetland Replacement Program
The Capital Bonding bill included:
- Funding for major and smaller local bridges: $31M
- Funding for local roads: $47M
- Funding for Local Road Wetland Replacement program: $5M
