Legislative Action

The 2024 Legislative Session begins February 12, 2024. This will be an important year for policy changes and additional funding through a capital investment bill. The Minnesota Transportation Alliance has adopted its 2024 Legislative Agenda and will be working with legislators to advocate for increased, dedicated funding for roads, bridges, transit and other modes. Check out our Legislative Action page throughout the session for updates and information as the session progresses.

The Minnesota House and Senate have announced the Chairs and members of the standing committees for the 2023-24 biennium.  Lists of committee members are available on the Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate web sites along with contact information for incoming legislators.

Final apportionment number for highway and transit formula funds have been released.  Minnesota's highway apportionment increased from $621 million in FY21 to about $850 million for FY22. For transit formula funds, Minnesota will receive $166.5 million for FY22.
